The national park
Bócsa is partly located in the nati
onal park ‘Kiskunság’. There you can find various landscapes of the protected countryside: meadow, alkaline steppes and ponds, dunes, desert-like sand meadows, forests and bushes. A particularly valuable area is the ancient juniper berry bush landscape which you are allowed to visit only on the tourist trails. It is worth to demand a professional guidance in the national park. It is more comfortable to travel around the area by a horse-drawn carriage and you can see much more in this way. There are some natural trails where you can discover the special plants and animals characteristic for the area.
